CADSTD - A 2D drawing package

MINOS - A 3D drawing package. Produce 3D forms in DXF format for later conversion.

Intellicad 2000 - A complete 3d package. 23 meg for both the program and it's help file.

DeskEngrave - A free giveaway from DesKAM.com, this allows for text in True Type Fonts to be
converted to G code.  It allows either text to be formed in a straight line or a circle.

Scan2 cnc - Three utilities. Padder which inserts blank spaces between the elements of
a line of G-Code, Wrapper which wraps a normal planar toolpath around a cylinder
so that XYZ becomes XAZ, and Scan2CNC which allows you to scan a line
drawing and convert that to G-Code so that the drawing can be cut by a CNC machining centre.
 

Free Parallel Port CNC Control:

 DeskNCRT- (real time) 3axis DOS version of EMC. Now freeware from Deskam.

Stepster - freeware version of a CNC control program written by Kevin Carroll.
It provides stepper motor control of up to 3 axis using the printer port of an IBM style personal computer.

 DAK's Turbo-CNC  - CNC control, Runs in DOS and uses the parallel ports for I/O
Supports 8 axes simultaneously, angular or linear
Provides step/dir or direct winding outputs
