Digital Readout Version 4.1 is a modest update to Steve's Dro40x series of programs. I wanted to have a program that could be used in place of either the DRO40 or DRO40A and to be able to have multiple configuration files. The DRO40.ccp file as downloaded from the internet was used as the basis of V4.1. No changes were made to the original coding, with only additions made to allow for the desired features. As this is my first foray into the world of C++, I am sure others with much more proficiency could do the job in a more compact way! As one strolls through the DRO41.cpp file, you will find where my changes are by the comment of AGE1. This was used not only to document my changes, but used as a pointer to where the changes were being made to the original file. Included in this zip file are all of the original files as offered by Steve with the exception of the inclusion of DRO41.exe instead of DRO40.exe, a revised Quad.hlp file, and a revised encode.cfg. In addition, enclosed is this readme file, and an encoder-adapter.pdf file showing the schematic of the IC based interface that I used. For those interested, it is my intention to use a simple A-B box to switch between the machine encoders.
