Parts for MM2001 Driver Board
Please refer to the MM2001 documentation found at Gilles Muller's site for more comprehensive instructions on how to build your driver board.

If you use a computer power supply to drive your steppers, then you will already have +5V regulated source that can be used to drive the on-board microcontroller. If this is the case then you will not need some of the parts listed, the minimum quantity of parts being listed in parenthesis. 

The choice of current limiting resistors depends on the driving voltage and power rating of the steppers. The value of 9.1 Ohms is OK for the steppers listed, driven by a 12V computer PS. If you are planning on using your own steppers or a PS other than 12V you may have to use different value resistors. See the documentation for more info on how to choose your resistors.

The order is split up between vendors only because there were a few things that ***** didn't carry. Generally I prefer to buy from ****** because the prices are far better, and although the selection is smaller, they usually have what you need, and it's easier to find. Digikey has a huge selection, but usually carries more "brand name" stuff that is 2 or 3 times more expensive. For example, the cheapest D-sub 25 connector at Digikey was more than $5. At***** it is $.75.

Finally, before you go out and order everything on this list, you should check to see if you already have some of the parts lying around. Unfortunately, many of these parts must be ordered in quantities of 10 or greater.
